Grace Aurora Chang

I am a Canadian composer writing contemporary-classical pieces. My compositions are inspired by the people, circumstances and the natural world around me. With training in classical music and dance, the interplay between music and other kinds of performance art is often at the back of my mind as I write.Composing is the most natural way for me to access what is in the depths of my heart and to present it to others. It is how I process and narrate the circumstances through which I walk. As a self-taught composer, my pieces vary from deep-themed contemporary-classical pieces to light-hearted pieces for children.Composing is also the most natural way for me to glorify God. My greatest joy comes from seeing my children moving and improvising to my music. It is wonderful if others can also enjoy it or find encouragement from it. Happy listening!
